124.8mph Stock Block!!

Went to the track last night all excited after finding the new NHRA rules that allow you run up too 11.50 without a cage. First two passes I bog the launch and run 12.5 @ 122mph and a 12.4 @ 123mph. So on my third pass I decided to try and slip my clutch a bit harder in first to help the bogg. Well that worked better but the car is now making too much power and by slipping it the clutch would build up too much heat and let loose so I would have to short shift into second. But still ran a 11.706 @ 124.03mph. Figuring I would let the car sit for awhile and let it cool to get a good run. So and hour latter I try the same thing, Nope doesn't work... clutch would blow out to redline in first so I would have to short shift into second. Still ran a 11.74 @ 124.80mph . Looks like I will putting in an ATS twin Disc this week and heading back out to the track for some low 11's

Cliff notes: slipping clutch in first 11.70's @ 124mph
best sixty foot of the night 1.9 (gay Clutch)

Sweet *** times, wow I find it amazing that I see some guys who have more mods and trouble cracking low 12s, and then some people just hook up well and then BAM 11s. Which mods (besides the human mod, experience) were some of the more important ones to your set up, was it the AEM EMS or the custom ball bearing turbo from HKS? What is the lag like on that turbo? What was the cost, if very expensive, how do you think it compares to less expensive turbos like BR500 and ATP Turbos?

Congratulations! Those trap speeds are excellent. Did you shift into 5th or just wind the hell out of 4th?

I left in 4th, and would cross the finish around 7800rpms.

Best of luck in your quest for the 11's. I personally will be switching clutches and then turning the boost up to see if its possible to hit 10's in the stock block/intake configuration.
