Not a problem but if you don't believe it go to The Nopi Battle of the Imports Va. motorsports park, in Dinwiddie results on Sept 4th I believe and the results should be in Second place Bracket 15 and it should still show the results but, I will still post my time slips in the registry and in here. I SWEAR. And I'm not totally sure why my car ran a 15.4 because you do make a valuable point PJal, but it did and there were plenty of witnesses, and my I add that time was ran on 17" rims and on street tires, launching at or about 2000rpm. But instead of bashing (if you guys are) congratulate. but until then I'll hola.

well...first off you shouldn't have shifted at 5900-6000 because the lancer's power band ends at about 5,600. hurry up with the damn slips. how long does it take to stop at ur friends house to get a piece of paper scanned. lancer running 16.4 stock it still sketchy. i don't believe anyone who says that. its bull. 15.4 is what i got with my turbo...so there is no way you got that with just a few bolt ons. with the NOS i can see...but the exhaust and crap...no. even with taking out your back seat or trunk liner and spare tire you not going to knock off a whole second.
also why the hell would you use race gas. that will only make you run richer with the higher octane and slow you down. all it is is to lower the air/fuel ratio to prevent detenation. no use to be used on your car.

hey guys, i was thinking of buying a lancer OZ, and throwing in a Turbocharger, but seeing as you guys are only doing 15s, im thinking of reconsidering and getting an Eclipse GT 5spd, and slap a turbo in that. im from Montreal Canada. and there are two tracks near my place, i gotta compete with guys that on average run 13s, im aiming to run with guys in the 11s and 12s. so what do you guys think i should do? well im open to opinions.

well this should be in a different post but if your looking for a fast car don't bother with a Lancer OZ. you can make it run 12's if you got the cash. same with any car really....................if you want a cheap and extreamly easy car to make it go fast get a first or second gen DSM. buy a good DSM for 6,000 + 2,000 in upgrades and you in the 13's already...another 3,000 and your in the high 11's mid 12's

are you really pissed of that my all motor lancer can hang with your turbo Lancer, J/k dude don't take it to the heart man, we are coming up to Jersey soon I believe I'm not sure when, but maybe me and you can meet up so we can check each others cars out. so instead of tryin to battle against me lets get the Hondas first. z, shifting that late DOES put you past the peak, but it also puts you back in the 4krpm area when you hit the next gear...which is 250rpms below peak torque when stock as I'm sure you know. Yes, there's an arch that starts a downward curve, but think after the shift as well. Anyway, it seems to be the best technique in my experience.
yes....it seemed that when you shifted at 6000 rpm you have a higher trap speed and a lower ETA. when you shif at about 5,650 you have a lower trap speed and a higher ETA.

i ran 17.1 with exhaust, test pipe, intake, and new iridium plugs (NO big deal on the plugs) the stupid thing i did was used high octane gas just for the hell of it. with that time, i carried each gear almost past red line.. shifted right before the engine peaked..
soooo.. if i shift at 5650 at every gear.. my time would go down a bit?
would ya'll recommend shifting at the point at every gear? 1-3?

oh ok thanks zlancer. hey but havent you got a Turbo Lancer i've got a friend with a Lancer gsr thats in the high 11's. Of course this is in New Zealand tho so im not sure what the difference is with your car. he's running a TD05 tubo in his.
yeah..i have a garret t-28 turbo running at about 6 psi. stock hp to the wheels is 103 about and torque is about 111. mine now is 170 hp and 185 ft/lb torque. i have horrible traction problems because it is only a FWD with no LSD so i was only able to run a 15.4 in the 1/4 mile. i can easlily make low 14's if i can get traction. stock the car runs about 17.
