yup...you shoudl be able to get mid 1.8 60 times on an easy launch in an evo. the biggest thing to get a handle on is to not let the engine bog down. Kepp the rpm up atleast 5000 and let the clutch out as fast as needed to not let the car bog down. It takes practice, so the best suggestion is just to get back to the track and keep trying. There's no magic trick, so you need to get used to you own car.

Taking your 2.3 60' time down to a 1.80 will take off almoast a full second off your ET. 1 tenth at the 60' is worth atleast 2 at the 1/4 mile.

A year ago when i bought my Evo and broke it in, i ran a 13.5 QM, i just let the clutch slip at 3,500 RPMs and the car doesn't bog but takes off like a bat out of hell, now its been a year and i have $3400 in mods and 23k miles, and i STILL have the same clutch, my advice to anyone who ownes this car...any drop above 4500 RPMs on a stock clutch is just stupid, your not gaining much, maybe a tenth if your really that good, but your just killing your clutch. im just now noticing that my clutch is going bad, and thats after a year. I am also going with the EXedy twin witch is what i've heard to be one of the best for drag racing

Im also going to go with Az3ar, you guys worry to much about your QMT's, you should be out tearing *** on the streets and curvy roads, thats where the real rush is, racing 911's and Z06's on the interstates. do that and you'll appreciate the car more

but dont get caught!
