He was running from the cops wasn't he? lol Yeah I'm a drifting fanatic but what he did wasn't drifting. Just hard cornering at speeds and some control at the end. I agree with the motocross analogy. And WRC techniques are used in drifting. Only difference......no dirt. Haha looks like i'm gonna have to find an open field for my CRV now. =P tootles

Drifting is a cancer in motor sports, it is like olympic wrestling compared to the WWF.

Drifting is all show, no substance, just like WWF.

I am sure it will gain fans across the world, since most people are fools anyway.

The guy was good at controling the car but whats the point?
Although I agree with you on most parts, I would not go to such extent as calling drifting a cancer. I just think that one should try to learn to drive properly (like with conventional racing training) before learning to do drifting since it is very hard to correct one's driving habbit if not properly learned the first time.

i'm more into JGTC ... but truthfully drifting is a good technique if learned properly.... i think it is a good competition for those who want to do it, however, i'd rather watch a race of fast cars... but it's nice to see cars and skills like good drift drivers.

I just want to see Motorsports that are a test of skill and machines.

I don't want to see style points awarded for the biggest show off.

Perhaps Drifters will move on to real motorsports, thats the only good I can see coming out of it.

IMHO
you are a complete idiot, and I hate you more for making me write this

id speculate that at least one of those cars are all wheel drive because thats the only way that i think he could do those 6 spins at low speed that is about 2/3rds through.. they dont look like rear wheel donuts
thats auto abuse.. lol i cant beleive those people standing on the sides are they ****ing crazy??

we should bring that guy to the U.S., give him some driving/drifting lessons, and put him on a S15 to participate in the D1....
