Wut does burning clutch smell like ?? Some gimme a detailed description lol

 

rev up to your 5k limiter and let the clutch out slowly... you'll smell it

lol, if u try to launch with a restrictor pill... you're going to smell it inside the car, outside the car, and everyone around you will smell it... The smell will stay for a couple days depending on how bad u glazed up the clutch.

 

I have launched with my restrictor pill and got no clutch smell...

But then again I have only done so a handful of times

the first thing any evo owner should do when they buy it is to remove the res. pill and put on a SS clutch line. Like day and night! And those sweet no smell launches of the stock 2-step is great.

 

Do you usually slip the clutch to launch or just let go the clutch?

 

slip always......i wouldnt reccomend dropping at a standstill

 

Make sure there isnt some plastic bag glued to some part of your exhaust pipe. One time i noticed a horrific smell coming from my car...thought it was my clutch...looked under my car and saw a plastic bag glued to my exhaust. What a relief.
