I've read in car and driver that the stock evo's street start(5-60) is 6.3 sec. thats for both viii and ix. I'm looking for someones results with just a flash and dropin filter (thats where I plan to stay) but i'd love others to post with what mods they have also. thanks

not true because my friend with his mustang gt with full exhaust and intake can not take me from a roll from 10, so yeah. and i destroyed him by a least 3 cars. and at that time all i had was my manifold and turboback exhaust.

Um, we aren't magazines. WE don't have a way to measure 5-60. Did you think anyone could just go out and do that? You need the right tools to do it - using your buddy in the passenger seat doesn't cut it. Also, our 0-60 is in the low 4s with basic mods and proper driving, so not sure why you care about 5-60.

Probably because you don't want to launch your car hard. My 5 - 60 is about 5.7 ~ 6 seconds (with a stop watch).

If you want a good 5 to 60 you bought the wrong car. Street racing (not advocating) is about playing to your car's strengths. Don't run from 5 because your off boost. 15 to 60 will work much better. The EVO does not have the down low torque of a V8 so racing from 5 is a sucker bet IMHO.

1.3453534 seconds - LOW BOOST

.00034343 - HIGH BOOST

EVO FTW

True! It does bog @ a 5mph roll! That is what mainly hurts the time. Maybe we should protest to C&D to start a 10 or 15mph to 60 instead of 5
Or better yet, 30 mph roll to 100 mph! For all you roll racers out there!
You never know, in the near future, they might develop roll racing! You both roll nose to nose @ 30 mph down the track, when lights go green (probably have to have runway lights or something ..haha) you punch it! It never fails, everytime someone in a 350z, vette, mustang, Z28 etc. loses to the dig, they allows say, "let's go from a roll, because i have no traction, my tires are bald....)

If you want to go fast from 5 you will need to slip the clutch, rev and go. Otherwise it will not be fast. Everything is a trade off.
