What gear do you shift the slowest?
For some reason when im at the track i feel that i shift into 2nd the slowest out of all the gears. Does anyone else feel like this?
2nd, I have no idea why but I always miss 2nd. My brother says it's a timing issue, but one time I had the clutch stepped in all the way but it still grind going into 2nd. Maybe my tranny is going bad.

i think the reason for this is because of a couple of reasons:
bad synchros (i always hear about this in the forums) or since the linkage is cable-based AND the motor mounts allowing a little too much movement when shifting (i have read that installing stiffer mounts make the shifting easier/smoother).

Cheers!
i only miss 3rd when I'm messing around on the street. i shift too slow on the street, the engine flex gets the best of my 3rd gear. at the strip though every gear is butter smooth. If i ould reach 5th, that would definitely be my slowest gear, shifts like molasses.
going from 1st to 2nd is my slowest gear. it used to be super notchy, but after i installed my Zak Lee underhood bushings its much better. i still shift slowly out of habit i guess...
