Engine lugging ... is it possible now?

Hey guys,

I sometimes take turns one gear more than I should be. (i.e. 22 mph at 3rd when should be 2nd).

My tachometer is dropping just under 2K rpms and I so feel slight vibration as if the I am lugging my engine. someone told me that modern engines have controllers that limit lugging...

Is this true?

Don't talk to that person about anything technical again. Also, you're too gullible.
