neutral w/o the clutch? safe? better?

"You can shift to neutral without the clutch. Its actually better for the clutch."
saw this from another poster....(vender) is this true?

i've actually thought the samething but never searched it. Also shifting w/o using the clutch, is that bad?

you can do this but at your own risk....if you dont do it right youll grind the gear

better for the clutch but not the trans. doing it wrong enough times and the trans will be falling out of gear when you don't want it to.
