i think the best is to go on a hill with no one around and practice holding ur car in position with just using the clutch from that point u can give it a pinch of gas and start coming off the clutch

Will this hurt my clutch? I know you evo guys and your stock clutch's don't last very long (from what I've read on here) but I'm at 61k on my stock clutch

my usual method for steep hills is to...
1. pull the hand brake holding the button
2. release the clutch and apply the gas in the same fashion as starting on a flat surface
3. slowly lower the hand brake once you feel the car want to pull

You can use a heel/toe type technique when starting on a hill. Just have your right foot toe on the brake, and heel on the throttle. Hold the brake as you start to apply gas. Then take your foot off the brake. This is the cleanest way to do it IMO.

Get yourself used to not using the ebrake. Its much better to know the clutch engagement.

I wouldnt recommend pinching it with the cutch by slipping. What I do is pull the Ebrake with my right hand, then as im driving i slowly drop the ebrake to drive away. It works fairly well and keeps the clutch from glazing.
