hey I have a quick question...

when my car is cold and im slowly taking off in 1st gear after warming it up a bit, i get this clicking sound from what seems to be my clutch a second after i take off.

as soon as the clutch is fully let off (given that it's a smooth engagement) I still get this mechanical latching sound a second later as if the clutch wasn't fully grabbing.

does anyone else notice this kind of sound? except for the cold start / slow take off, it feels perfectly fine.

and no, this isn't my first manual car...

i never noticed that, but my car loud .
Maybe something like this happening:
the clutch pill slows the fluid down/ specially when its cold/ there for much more thicker, so the engagement and the releases a bit slower then your actual foot work. But saves a drive train components. You might want to take it out, and try that.
I think the main reason they put it there , if some one learns the car would not damage anything on the drive train. I think after all its a good idea, but if you are comfortable with the car enough , its better without it.

I don't know about you guys, but in my IX MR with a exedy twin I have to blip the throttle going from 6th to 5th, or from 5th to 4th when I'm just cruising down to a stop otherwise sometimes it is kind of harder to get it into gear. If I blip the throttle and bring up the revs for just that split second it slides in smoother than silk.

If you have to then it's not fully disengaged

I don't have to, it just goes in much smoother and takes less effort.

that's what clutches do. they grab when you are slowing down. when you rev match then it, of course, is easier because the rpms match the transmission. that's normal. some people use the engine as a brake while slowing down. i prefer to wear brake pads rather than engine parts.

unless i'm misunderstanding your post.

I'm just saying that it is harder to push the shift lever into the lower gear unless i blip the throttle.

I'm not saying I "can't" push it in, it just takes more effort - sometimes.

When I blip the throttle it goes in so easy its like a magnet sucking it into the next lower gear.

Then I may have to agree with above: your clutch may not be fully disengaging
