5 spd car, I always see some people apply gas before reverse change to 1 or ready to go,(I mean it is clutch and gas together).what is used for? just for coool?

 

I do that just to get the feeling of the trottle response

 

I do it also cause I get bored.

 

Or to show my next lane neighbor I wanna race, or agree to race (which ever applies)

I do that when I'm feeling lazy.

If you get lazy or aren't really "with it" in a manual, you either slip the clutch too fast, stall and look stupid; or you apply the gas a little early to make sure you don't look like an idiot. I really think I do that when I don't feel like paying attention to my driving.
