Awesome J hook

I got a story to tell. Jus a few nights ago after a nice lil shower. Me n some buddies of mine went to an empty parking lot. One of my boys wanted me to do a J-hook. So i did it an it was awesome and looked so bad ***. Well after a couple more tries i got enough ***** to do the j-hook n b4 i turned the wheel i put it into neutral, turned the wheel n when i was coming out of the 180 put it into drive n took off . Seemed like a perfect J-hook from out of a moive. So if i kept doin this a whole bunch of times wouldnt it mess up my car. Its an 03 ES auto.

J-turns... In an automatic?!

J-Turn as in turning a car through 180 deg from reversing in a straight line to driving forwards in a straight line?

YES a j-hook in an auto. I have done it b4. I have it on tape too. I havent done it sense. So its been about 5 months. And i didnt rev the engine while it was in neutral. I put it into neutral then did the 180. While coming out of the 180 i put it into drive n kept goin. Without stalling out either. Cuz i have stalled out b4 while doing j-hook's

If you do it right, it wont harm the transmission. You just have to feel that right moment when the car is neutral.

I always wanted to do the 360 slide then drive.

A J-turn in an automatic is very easy. You just have to push the shifter down while the car is turning. When you get pointed in the direction you want to go just hit the gas.

J-turns are fun, I've done them in everything from a old bug to a big SUV. I'm not sure its a usefull technique, but it sure is fun. Also a good demo of what caster in the suspension does.
