I think this is a great option to those who would not like to have to resort to a stand alone like the AEM or just using a piggy back to switch between race and regular maps. I had no idea the stock Ecu was so advanced.
Its really quite simple - we set up the load points and tuning so the highest load reference zones are used only when you are running race fuel and those have the race settings

When you are on pump gas you use the pump gas tunes

ONLY area this set up is less than optimal is on the spool up as we must share the pump gas spool up tuning. However was you can see from the dyno charts above the stock turbo spools so well there is really not much of a difference.

Also - the only real disadvantage of this set up is that you really NEED to watch your boost gauge. IF you were to mistakenly run the high boost levels on pump gas you could cause some damage. On the stock ecu it would run pig rich and then hit fuel cut. Our set up has 11.8 a/f ratios and no fuel cut. SO LONG AS you are careful and responsible to monitor your boost and NOT use the high boost settings unless you HAVE the proper octane gas you will not have any issues.

Hey Al, Im glad to see my dyno sheets up on your post...After your tune the difference was night and day,and i had the AFC tuned in!!..The facilities at Pruven are TOP NOTCH and Dan is the man....You forgot to mention this was thru the 3'' cat, it would of made 15whp more, easy! The way you smoothed out the power band was masterful...keep up the good work. See you at the next stages.

Just for confirmation but does this mean the price for a custom tune will increase since time for tuning will also increase??

ALSO - - we are now supplying additional race ecu flashes for FREE to existing Dyno Flash customers and to new customers who purchase a 2nd used ecu and get the key and imobilizer codes installed - this way you can switch back and forth to a full race ecu at the track in 5 mins

We want Dyno Flashed cars to keep doing very well at the track to refute the trash talk

Thats why all race options are free

Well, I guess I'll have to wait untill you come to Chicagoland again. I tried to talk to you before the last time you came, although it seemed to be a little wild with all the people trying to get tunes. By then I'm sure I'll have an AFC II w/255 pump and maybe cams, or maybe not, what would you suggest to be my next mod before my next flash or tune?

Heads studs are much easier and cheaper to replace than a head gasket

ON my own evo - I change the ARP head studs out for new ones every time I take off the head - simply not worth it to play around when they are so cheap[/QUOTE]

Do you recommend taking the head off, or is the one at a time method ok?

I think the head studs are a no brainer if you are going to fast times and big power

AFC II is not needed withour flash - but can be heldul to dial in the tune if you later change parts or for race gas adjustment.

I am going to try and put together a Chicago trip in the early part of November

Did I read that right? Are you saying that if we are an existing Dynoflash customer we can send you another ECU and you will do a race flash for free?

Here is my specific situation...

I have Buschur Stage4 with your 94 octane flash - all done up at Buschur. I am debating a move to california where as everyone knows you can only get 91 octane. So my options are to send you 2 ECU's. One to flash to 91 and one to flash to race gas, of which I only pay for the 91 flash? Otherwise If I stay here in Ohio I can just send you my spare ECU and you will flash that for race gas for free since I am an existing customer?

As far as the dual flash goes, I need to take it to Buschur or to you directly to have it done? Mail in is not an option?

as always thanks for your help,
-Doug

If you already have the Buschur Flash - you can have free octane changes - just send in the ecu with $50 to cover return fed ex shipping and admin fees

Also - anyone with a Buschur Flash or Dyno Flash can get a free race gas tune in a 2nd ecu - same $50 shpping & handling charge applies

I want everyone to go fast !

JUST MAKE sure - that no one runs the race maps with pump gas - (thats a big no no )
