New Dual Stage Buschur Flash ! Race gas and pump gas tunes on same ecu.

Here is my latest innovation - the so called "Dual Stage" flash is done with development and is here in action on a customer's car

This is a Buschur Flash Stage II - all Buschur Stage II parts - basically an exhuast - intake and intercooler pipes and a boost controller.

Here is the dyno plot on 93 octane with 20.5 psi of boost - street settings

Just pour in the race gas - turn up the boost to 24 psi peak boost

The same flash already has the race gas settings installed

All you do is when you go to the track - put in the race fuel (at least 100 octane) and turn up the boost - the Buschur Flash does the rest !

The Buschur Flash dual stage for Stage II is available at no extra cost over the price of the regular Buschur Flash through www.buschurracing.com - please specify the dual stage flash when ordering

NOTE* - At this time the dual stage flash is only avialable through Buschur Racing for the Buschur Stage 1 through 4.

Dyno Flash customers can get the dual stage option at NO extra cost during custom tuning sessions. AT THIS TIME the dual stage is NOT available with through the mail flashes - we have that in devleopment at this time.

You can see how well the mapping in the ecu is controlling the tuning with the dual stages with this chart that shows the a/f print out

With the stage 3 and 4 there would be much more power gain up top with the dual stage flash - the Stage 2 is pretty much maxed out at these levels

Our idea is to provide a simple and cost effective method to enjoy your car with high boost at the track for those who only take the car racing on occassion

That's 24psi with the stock head studs? Is that safe? If so I'm turning it up.

You can only turn up the boost if you have the race gas and are safely mapped for high boost levels as in the case of this car

Head studs are always recomended saftey measures - however they may not be needed till you reach stage 3 with the dual stage which makes 340 - 350 whp

Of course the two ecu swap out flash is the ultimate best soultion . The dual stage set up incorporates certain compromises and adjustments needed to facilitate the seemless dual stage function in a smooth and totally reliable manner which do have a slight effect on the ultimate power levels.

For the ultimate in reflashing the dual ecu set up is without a doubt the best approach.

However - for those who seek 90% of the gains with a simple and cost effective solution - this is the way!

With the Buschur Stage 4 on race fuel we have seen over 370 ft lbs of trq - certainly enough to strech those stock head studs

Heads studs are much easier and cheaper to replace than a head gasket

ON my own evo - I change the ARP head studs out for new ones every time I take off the head - simply not worth it to play around when they are so cheap

I have a few modifications although I have not chose a certain company for aquiring stages. I have your fireball flash with a tb, profeb b, a drop in filter, and a forge re-circ. I have run a mixture of 93 & 100 at the track, but I would like to run a full 100 octane. If you have the time, tell me of the advantages of the new dual stage rather than re-setting the ECU.

Very interesting so you are some how tuning the stock Ecu for the two sets of fuel maps one map for detecting lower octane and one map that's for higher octane. How does the Ecu know the difference once you put race gas in. By the knock count of the higher octane?
I think this is a great option to those who would not like to have to resort to a stand alone like the AEM or just using a piggy back to switch between race and regular maps. I had no idea the stock Ecu was so advanced.

The dual stage has totally optimized ign timing and af settings for the high load - high boost - zones in the map.

Just resetting the standard dyno flash will do little

On your set up right now - the only way to get a dual stage set up is when I return to your area and get the custom tuned upgarde and we tune it for pump gas and race gas
