AL,
Still planning on heading over to Chicago but as I mentioned before I am going to call Dave today and get his thoughts on the GT35r kit. If he thinks it will work well then I will try to get it on the car next weekk also. TRE is doing the trans/t-case next week so the drivetrain should be rock-solid, can you get the 35r tuned during your Chicago trip? I can be there Friday, and all day Saturday. I could do a pump/dual tune or just have you tune it 100oct, I have never run anything but 100 or higher in the car.

Personally - I am very fond of the 440 myself. I think with a full custom tune geared towards getting it to spool earlier and hearder as I did with member Propelerhead and with maxing out the ign timing and a/f ratio we can get you up near 440 whp which is about all yout stocki bottom end can take
As for the GT35 R - my thoughts are that you could really maximize that set up if you thought about changing out your rods and pistons to some upgraded units from Buschur. This would allow you to have good reliability at the 500 plus whp level that I would epect from the GT35 R on high boost and 100 octane. IMHO to take advantage of the GT35 R you need to be able to run high boost AND spin the engine at some significantly higher rpms becuase of the significant lag factor you really need at least a 8500 - 9000 red line which requires rods and pistons
Basically - when considering these two turbos - think of it like this - 440 - stock like spool up and max whp level on race fuel about 440 - maybe 420
GT35 R - significantly more turbo lag and less tq down low. Greater potential to handle higher boost levels with built motors
Personally - I might enjoy a well tuned 440 over the GT35 R on the street
It all comes down to personal preference
I can easily add you to the list for tuning and the price is only $299
Just pay pal a deposit of $100 to paypal@dynoflash.com and pick a time !
Al, I am also interested in the dual stage tune. You reccomend C-16 or 118 leaded, but won't the leaded race fuel mess up our O2 sensors, or even cats if people still have them? I would generally use 93 mix with 100 unleaded at the track, all their other fuels are leaded. Does the tune work better with a higher octane or does 100 work just as fine. Where would you find C-16 anyways? Also, Are you going to play with timing, or is this just a fuel tune? Sorry man, I gotta ask alot of questions.

IF YOU OCCASSIONALY - that means once in a while - use leaded fuel you will have no issues. If you CONSANTLY - that means all the time - use leaded fuel then you will have issues.
If you are more confortable with the 100 we can do that for you
Get in a deposit on either Friday night or last spot Saturday before they are taken as you're tune will take extra time - thanks

The leaded fuel allows you to really step on the tune but your cat and o2 sesnors will die if you use it regularly
if you intend to do it a lot just get the 100 and we can find you an extra 20 whp which you will enjoy and your 02 sensors will like better
