4 - 6 FREE WHP ! Easy and fast
Well not totally free - but cheap
Now that winter is approaching I have a way for you to pick up a few fast whp on your evo
I dyno tested this on my car and made an average of 5 whp with one at 4 whp and one at 6 whp gains
This is what you do - order a 2004 RS fan belt from the RS without AC from your local
stealership
Simply swap the fan belt with your fan belt and you pick up power from less friction and less mass to spin. Of course the a/c has a clutch which disengages the compressor when not in use but the pulley itself is steel and has some significant mass to spin - along with the resulting friction
Of course you dont have any a/c then but with winter here who needs it ?
Next spring simply swap back the fan belt and you will have your a/c back

i also heard that the alternator on any car draws about 10-11hp (it pumps around 150amps), yeah I know you can't go without it but for the 1/4 race it's wise to put a switch in and leave all the accesories off (the battery can handle just the ignition system)

I love asking people to put thier hands in my car and "feel" the cold blasting a/c at the track after I run a 10 second pass

just turn the heater on and crack a window... will have the same effect just not as fast as the AC dehumidifier. Getting rid of accessories has been a long time quick gain on any car... living without it or doing the work(on/off) is where most say no.
For the track though... those ponies help so free them up if you can!

The more I think about it the more that RS appeals to me
