Could you explain that a little more? I was thinking that autocross would require a more conservative tune and therefore peak numbers would be lower. Sounds like you are saying the reverse, unless you mistyped.

Yes - I am saying the reverse. Mark is a very car savy guy and racer and hence we can give a custom like that a slightly more agressive tune than we might give to someone who just drives back and forth to work and might not be able to "feel" or "hear" knock or even know what it is. Also, in Mark's case - he is planning to use race gas when he hits the track so that was factored into the mix.

Basically, when tuning we listen to our customer about how they feel about saftey vs. performance and also the kind of driving they will do.

BTW - the last time I went autocrossing - which has not been for a couple of years - they had slow courses which were mostly 1st and 2nd gear and were over within a minute or so. My take on autocrossing is that is easy on engines and hard on syncros, clutches and tires.

Our 1st customer did about 10 dyno pulls - we went on test driving with dozens of full throttle pulls - he took like 5 guys out for test drives - then he drove home 3 hours to jersey and it was not yet empty

I think we are looking at 2 tanks of gas to the gallon of alcohol - depending on how often you boost
