From the picture, it looks like the stock plastic overflow tank is replaced with an aluminum bottle.

Right but if they use that aluminum tank to hold the alky there is no other place for a coolant over flow tank becuase it will take its spot. Besides that aluminum will contract heat and that side of the engine bay is closer to the exhaust manifold/header so it will be even more dangerous. Just my .02 that it isn't a good idea and it would be much safer in the trunk of the car.

Take a look at the picture again. There are two aluminum resevoirs.

Not sure about the heat issue. I'd be more concerned with whether the metal tank could have corrosion issues, especially with methanol. I think that there would need to be a special coating or liner to account for that, but that's sort of an obvious issue so I'm assuming that it would be addressed properly.

Yes there are two but one is power stearing reserve/overflow (small round one) and one is coolant reserve/overflow (Big squarish one) just like the stock bottles. You really can't ditch either one of these to make room for an alky bottle in those locations I would think anyways.

Al, if you have the Gen 1 version is there a need to update to the newer versions. The only thing I like, would be the gauge mounted on the IC piping, getting under the car and removing the panel will get tiresome after a while. Can you take the what they used for mounting the gauage on Gen 4 and use it on Gen 1?

What is the usual purpose of that part? While at first I thought you were posting a prototype of some sort, I now see that it's already for sale on Forge's website.
