Slow car..

Well I got out to the track last night and I was a little dissapointed. I am not the best driver in the world but I get the job done. I think my car is just under powered. What do you guys think? shouldn't I be faster than this.

Mods: K&N drop in/ MBC 22psi falling to 20/ Buschur turbo back w/no cat / walbro/ custom tuned dynoflash

1.712..........60'........1.803
5.329.........330........5.417
8.337.........1/8.........8.428
83.04.........mph.......83.16
10.957......1000.......11.047
13.130.......1/4........13.224
103.40.......mph.......103.08

It just seems like my car has got nothing up top and is falling on it's face. I hold the IC sprayer on through 3rd and 4th to help with the heatsoak. I am looking for the 106-107 trap speeds and everything else will take car of it's self.

I do have a greddy type s but I am recirculating back into the intake. It was in the upper 70's but the car was cooled off plenty before each run. I pushed the car in the staging lanes and only started it when there were about 3 sets left in front of me just to get the car back up to propper temp.

I don't get to a certain RPM and feel like it just falls off. It pulls nice and smooth out the back but it just doesn't have any nutz. I am only picking up 19-20mph on the back half. When I am on 100oct(25psi), which I usally am at the track, I trap 108-109 and pick up 25mph on the back half.

Man, It sounds like everything is running right, maybe a boost leak somewhere? I don't know. Have you done any kind of compression check?

Have you had it dynoed? Your ET is not bad for your trapspeed, but if your driving is good this means your power is not too high.... Maybe around 220 whp?

That definitely isn't right, I would check for boost leaks/boost gauge accuracy. I would also get it dynoed that would tell the true story. Good Luck!

not to hijack the thread here but i am curious as well. I have similar mods as EVO VIII and my car doesnt seem to pull now. I run 20.5psi and the guage reads that till redline. Is there still a possibility for there to be a leak and still boost at 20.5 psi?

hey man down here in south florida at moroso. I have never launched my car in fear of breaking something. With exhaust, test pipe, cone filter and a dyno flash I ran 13.7 at 104.55. I also had a 2.1 60ft. You cut a great 60ft so your times should definetly be lower. I havent gone to the track since I added my cams and my fuel pump so I dont know what I wll run now.
