I guess you have not examined many stock turbo dyno sheets. The Tq curve is characteristic

Actually there was no flash problem to my information - I made the title to make a point. In this case the customer ASSUMED he had a flash problem when in fact he did not. Maybe it did not run to his satisfaction at the time it was tuned.

The customer states that he was originally disatisfied with this tq numbers and that the car was not running to his satisfaction. Otherwise the car was running.

Later, the fuel pressure vac hose apparently poped off at some later date and the car immediately started running really bad - that is when he contacted me

The reason for my post was just to show a case where trouble shooting was required and how the problem was resolved. Diagnosis and trouble shooting is the key to getting thsi cars to run well - especially now that the 03's are getting some miles and going through multiple hands.

A lot of people assume that a reflash is to blame when their car starts running bad when in fact the reflash does not "change" signifiucantly over time. If the car is running acceptably and then sudden gets worse 99% of the time a mechanical issue is the cause.

Yes I understand but when you say in ur first post "it had been flashed by some other shop it was running very poorly" - that kinds throws ppl off Makes the other tuning company look bad when infact it was a mechanical issue. If you stated what you just stated in your last post first - there would be less assumption.

Just to be 100% clear the customer said that he was very disatisfied with his previous tune and that the car was running poorly from the time it was tuned - his tq was only 300 as he posted above. (I have yet to see the dyno sheet)

This is what the customer had to say

Al has increased my hp and my tq and our af ratio is safe, my car had no torque before it felt like crap on top end, now the torque is there and you can really feel it.

Tune looks on the lean side for pump gas. 11.6 going close to 12.0 at 7K?

I am tired of these tuner vs. tuner dramas. All I am trying to show people two things - the guy had problems and they were easy to fix with a little trouble shooting and secnondly to show the lovely dyno sheet that was made with his new tune.

Actually its 11.6 most of the way and touches 11.7 at the highest spot

Some cars need to be run a bit leaner and SOME CARS have exhuast leaks which throw off the a/f reading at the tailpipe

Skill, and experience is needed to set the proper a/f

The smooth tq curve shows me the car is running knock free. Sound by ear is my #1 tuning tool on the dyno. Also the car was road tested and data logged to verify proper operation.

I wish I can find my old dyno sheet from tt to show the difference in tune. al in no means blamed tt for a bad tune. He simply diagnosed my problems and fixed them. I had stated to him how the car felt after being tuned by tt and the problems I felt I had with the tune.

..

I guess we're back to case study's ... In my eyes it was not a post to point out mechanical issues but to point out the tune done by me made only 300 ft lbs of torque. What i can tell you is .. @ 21psi of boost ..there is no way the car made 340 ft lbs of torque .. In fact i have 500 dollars here cash that says otherwise. Free money right ??? Come down strap the car , make the torque number and your 500 dollars richer...

Wahhhhhhhhhhhh! The internet sucks. He said she said. Some people like to argue.
AL was just illustrating a car that had abnormally low TQ, and how his flash fixed it. Not to argue about the fuel pressure line being off.

his flash didn't fix ****, putting the vacuum line back on the FPR fixed the car.
