Case study # 97 - member XXJXX - flash problems

This member has serious complaints with his car - it had been flashed by some other shop it was running very poorly - the customer came saying his dyno tq was low at the other shop and then later the car lost more power

His mods are

Injen intake
Walbro pump
Hallman MBC
272 cams
3" Exhuast

The car was running very lean and showed a lack of tq

I went to work to diagnose the car and discovered that the line to the fuel pressure regulator had come off

Here is the results of my tune

(I wont show the previous tune as with the fuel pressure line off the test was not accurate)

Great tune Al...didnt this car run VERY lean with that FP hose off??.......BTW , can you get the 272 cams to idle pretty good?. Also, ive been custom tuned by you, if i add an intercooler and fuel pump can you just send me a reflash, or do i need to be retuned on the dyno?

Ok well, as many of you can see i am the member that had this tune and all i can say is wow!!!! Al knows his ****. My car was previously tuned by turbotrix and it made 330/300 and with the same mods my car is safer and now running ten times better. Props to Al. His customer service and his dedication are amazing. He explained to me each problem we diagnosed and how it affects the car. I will post my previous tune from turbotrix to show the difference in the tune. Al has brought out the beast in my car.

funny how t.t. could not know that was off.. they would have to really correct a/f for that v. line being off.. that should have givin them red flag... just my opion on the stated facts shown on this thread...

Numbers don't look bad at all....but what's up with that torque curve dropping off that much?

if the vacuum line to the FPR was off wouldn't the car run rich all the time instead of lean. Our cars don't have a RRFPR?

also we never said the line was off when turbotrix did the tune, we figured that it gradually came off. However, with turbotrix's tune i only had made 330hp and 300 tq, not sure of the af ratio because they were never on the tt dyno sheet. Al has increased my hp and my tq and our af ratio is safe, my car had no torque before it felt like crap on top end, now the torque is there and you can really feel it.
