Question regarding Alky Kit and low light

I could use someone's help/expertise. I know Al is a busy man and I wait patiently for his replies but while I wait I thought I would get some others options to my situation as I am sure someone else may have run into this before (although I didn't find it in the search)

I just recently purchased and installed the SMC / Buschur / DynoFlash Alky Kit. Which is quite simple by the way. 4 colored wires, boost hookup, a predetermined power wire and a ground. I went ahead and installed this over the weekend and only found one problem.

My low light does not go off. (before the obvious question comes up, yes it was/is full as I put over 1/2 gallon of distilled water and 1 gallon of denatured alcohol into the reservoir)

The system runs perfectly (from what I can see). The spray light comes on when the boost hits high enough and the arm light is on when I turn the key and stays on the entire time. The system does spike in the 100+ PSI when I use the test button.

I don't imagine this being a ground issue if the whole system is working properly but I am pretty sure (99%) my grounds are good.

Anyone have any ideas?

I apprecaite the help in advanced!!

I would assume that there is a float leval sensor on your tank that makes your light turn on if your fluid leval is low. Check to see if the float is stuck. If that doesn't work, check your wiring that comes from the that float leval sensor to see if it's not grounding out causing your light to illuminate.

Thanks Smoked!!

EvoTio - Do you know what color I should be specifically looking at?? I will check the wiring for a 3rd time but there is only 2 grounds. One for the bottle and one for the controller. Also, do you know if there is a floater in these kits? I wouldn't want to go poking around in there and screw something up.

Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, I do not have a SMC kit. I installed my own custom Aquamist set up in my Evo. You must have a float leval sensor in your bottle, that's the only way I see that it can trigger your light when the float drops according to your fluid leval. It sounds to me that your float is grounded out and is illuminating your light.

I told you to check that out on my first post. Anyway, I'm glad you got it fixed. Now enjoy your alcohol injection . Oh BTW, the Forge RS valve is great . I just installed it a couple of days ago and I can't believe how much better my part throttle response is.

Yeah I wasn't doubting your reply. I wanted to make sure I could go poking around in there before I broker something you know? Thanks for the help too!!

Yeah I use to have the Blitz BOV and loved it. I just wanted a little smoother ride because it was VTA. I have been dying to get the new Greddy RS but I can't find it. Since Al likes the Forge ones I think I will just get one of those.

I get it tuned Saturday . . . . . can't wait!!!!!!!!!

No Problem. Mine was stuck from shipping so regardless how much fluid went in it claimed I was low.

If you take a flash light and look down the opening you will see a brass pipe. I just took a long screw driver and moved it / bent it more towards the car. It may take you a few trys just to see the thing as getting the flash light correctly shining in the right spot took the longest. Fixed in about 3 minutes.

Does this help?

Hey DrBump471, how is your alcohol injection working? Did your tune work out well?
