Which plugs to use?

Since Al has tuned my car, I figure I'd ask him which plugs to use. Mods are:

HKS rs intake
HKS turbo exhaust
HKS 264's
Walbro
Perrin cat delete
Custom reflash

I have the bpr7es in my car now, but after reading a little I don't know if I need to do the br7es or the br8es. I'm getting a misfire code so I figure I'll change my plugs.

Which one do you recommend Al?

Could anyone tell me the advantages or disadvantages between the BPR7ES, BR7ES, BPR8ES, and the BR8ES? I seen people running these plugs the most and was just wondering what it would do to my car if I went to the 8.

Go with the BPR8ES gapped at .20-.22 should make your car run good and no more misfires.

I think the BR#ES's don't have the protruding electrode.. not really sure what that means exactly..

The BPR8ES is a colder plug.. Might be good if you're running high boost.. I've tried these but I got a lot of misfire with 20psi on pump gas.

I've got basically a Buschur Stage4 + EMS with BPR7ES plugs gapped at .026, no misfires.

Edit: Forgot to add that you'll need to replace the BPR7ES plugs a lot more often than the stock Iridium plugs. If it's been longer than 3 months you might just need some new plugs.

Also interested in this, and also the time/mileage intervals for changing each.

I believe that Al recommends BR7ES's gapped @ 24.

BR8ES gapped @ .24~.25 (no misfires)

Blitz SUS Intake, TBE (+ UR High Flow Cat + Helix O2 Housing), Walbro 255 Fuel Pump, HKS 272/272, ARP Headbolts, SMC Methanol Injection, Al Tuned

Haven't had a misfire since I put them in [knock on wood]

I would stick with the 7's for your mods but purchase both the BPR and BR's and see what you like. (they are only 1.89 a piece or so)

I'm waiting for Al to chime in.

So the protruding nose is good if you run high boost or is it the other way around? I run nothing but 93 in my car and it will ocasionally spike to 22 psi.

I've had the BPR7ES's in my car for about 8,000 miles or maybe a little more. I don't mind changing them out often, but if I can get a plug that will last longer and make my car run better I would rather have a different plug.

Thanks for the help everyone.
