I think you are in the same boat as me. I will be tuned by Al in a few days, I am getting the SMC kit and I want to be able to use the alcohol kit ocasionally on the road and asll the times at the track.

Don't worry that Al knows what he is doing. He will probably set your alcohol injection engaging at high boost so that you don't have to use it consistently in traffic etc.

Like what the other guy said, the SMC kit has a progressive controller that will allow you to begin spray at 16 psi, and max out at 26 psi. If you can keep your foot out of the gas pedal on the street, you wont hit 16 psi, and you wont spray. Im not exactly sure why you would not want it to spray on the street however.............are you afraid of wasting the meth?

That's exactly how mine is set up. Starts at 16 maxes at 26.

You can go for days without using any spray if you can keep your foot out of it. Physically easy, psychologically close to impossible!!

Thats right, will be impossible for me not to boost,it's just a matter of being cautious,I've herd couple of horror stories were the the pump wasn't pumping the preciuos juice, even though the light was on,the other thing is engine longivity,i just dont want to rely on chemical cooler all the time, until the system is 100%safe or i have the money to buy all the gadgets to monitor whats going on

I was thinking of doing something like this for road racing as a sort of safety measure. If you had some way to use boost level or knock readings as parameters for an alk system running just to make sure nothing gets hurt....

Good injection systems have multiple mechanisms to alert you when there is a failure.

either cutting boost or/and switching to a less aggressive map when a fault is detected.

I believe I read a post somewhere smc will be coming out with a failsafe boost cutting device that will drop boost to 15 psi when alky fault is detected.
