Hi Steve,

This is Carlos, we were talking a couple of days ago about overnight shipping my SMC. Does my SMC comes with that V2 box?

Also, could you elaborate a bit more on how replacing the Nozzle would affect much.

Thanks!!

I just want to hear from you guys about the type of nozzle I should be using on the SMC kit for my stock turbo.

I just got off the phone with NOLIMITMOTORS and they say they normally built the kit with a #10 nozzle.

Al(Dynoflash) mentioned yesterday that he got the best results with the number #7.

I am planning on keeping the great stock turbo. what would be your choice? what nozzle are you guys running ? Did you improved from swapping from one to another?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
O and btw your kit will come with a 7. The first kits i ordered were for me and a few other local guys who have plans of going to bigger turbos and we all got 10's so I thought Steve sends everyone M10's, but I spoke to him and he said the normal kits will be M7.

with a 30R, i'd def run a m10, and with a 35R i'd either run an M10, or m15 to be safe. when i put on the 35R i'm gonna get an extrea m15 jet so I have it and i'll have it in case I need to change when I get tuned.

Yea you have the Version 2 box and if your staying with stock turbo the M7 will be fine. If your going to upgrade turbos, let me know and i'll get you a m10 or m15 or m100 (if they make one, lol) no problem. A jet is like 8$ so its not really an issue

Hi Steve,

I just got my SMC today. I opened the box and it looks like everything is there. I am having a couple of good friends installing it for me. One of this guys had the SMC for years on his Dodge stealth that runs 11.1@128.

The one thing I noticed is that the pump says that is made in China?.. uhmm I hope I don't have problems with that. Chinese products are often replicas for much less money and much less quality.

By the way, how do you actually bolt the pump to the tank? I haven't seen any bolts,screws,nuts.. Do I supposse to improvise and make it fit?

I will call you tomorrow and get more details on the installtion.

Again, Thanks!

Carlos

How much of an AFR change does the M7 nozzle make in the AFR at full spray? In other words, if you are tuned to, say, 11.2:1 on the spray, what would the AFR be if the alky stopped?

Carlos
I went to Home Depot and got some bolts, nuts, washers, and a metal strip with lots of holes down the middle (the ones people use for drywall). Then I went home and used my trusty cutters to get the right length then bolted the reservoir up. Not too hard. If I didn't run out of space on my memory stick I would have taken some pictures.

I did take some pics of the kit and will be posting them up in Steve's FS thread shortly.
