prostockCRX-- I don't see how bringing a few important bits of information to light are childish. Certainly not as childish as Al's manipulation of dyno results and "moon dynos" name-calling.

evo-robert-- I don't see it in my inbox. Could you resend it?

pharmd98-- I agree. What matters is how a car drives on the road/track/etc,. But if one is going to post info- technical, acedotal or otherwise, the readers certainly deserve to see the true picture. Especially when they ask for it.

Regardless, I'm sure this thread will eventually be labeled as nothing more than a 'pissing match'.

Shiv is just bitter as always. Graphs look good as always Al.

If they raced on the track Al would win hands down.

Maybe Shiv should quit being a little kid and keep his mouth shut instead of coming into another companies business. If he would come into all of Als thread he would have more time to develop his stuff and maybe thrown down numbers close to Als.

it's childish because everytime you and al are on the same thread it turns into a battle of who can sling the most **** = childish. i'm not saying it is your fault or his. My apologies i'll go crawl back into my hole

If this "business" you meantion involves manipulating dyno results to achieve the most dramatic and desired effect, I will always call someone out. Hell, to this day, Al still refers to our DD dyno as the "moon dyno" Despite Buschur's recent acquisition of a dyno that is calibrated exactly like mine. Maybe I just don't get it...

Back on topic:

Despite being considerably lower, Al's corrected results are still quite good and are nothing to be ashamed about. I see no reason for him to get defensive and to not to post it in the first place.

I think Al brought Shiv into this by posting one of his dyno graphs, perhaps innocently, not the other way around. But with that said, if people who know far more than 99% of us on this board have questions, heck, inquiring minds would like to know! I'm all for the "truth".

I think the results for the IX's out there are great and I hope the "evolution" continues into the X. It'd be nice to take a relatively stock car and start hounding RS4's!

I would have to say Als business is much more appealing to customers, and his products show the truth and hes a good guy.
Lets just say when I bought mr I opted to buy it without xede!

well, i must say, i was never too impressed by the results of dynoflash, My friend had a custom tune done with a TBE+high flow, MBC, and a intake....well needless to say i had the same mods on my '03 and i put down almost 20 whp more on the same dyno with an Emanage! so i must say Jim that Al's buisness isn't as appealing to eveyone as you think

There is a vast difference between "manipulating dyno results" on the one hand

and merely NOT using a particular correction factor on the other hand

When the sheet itself specifies the fact that it was "ACTUAL" power and NOT corrected I do not see how I was manipulating any data what so ever

IF I do it SAE or STD it will also INDICATE THAT FACT DIRECTLY ON THE SHEET ITSELF - there is nothing uunderhanded or manipulated - the correction or lack of correction is just as promently displayed as the acutal numbers - period

The wonderful thing about dyno jet dynos of course is that there is nothing to "manipulate" - you either use a correction factor or you dont

Unlike other dynos you can only report the data in one corrected form or another or merely report is uncorrected

Other dynos such as mustang and dyno dynamics - the user can alter the calbration, weight and other factors to change the results at will

PS - I call your dyno a moon dyno in jest - I find it funny when you are always comparing your results to dyno jet results BUT NO ONE OUIT THERE is comparing their results to Dyno Dynamics results

You do not see me even reading your forums much less posting there recently

If you come over to post on mine - expect a dose of reality in exchange - YOU are the guy who was caught boasting and braging about your dyno results and then SPARCO posted proof postive that YOU were manipulating the results by inflating the air temp figure - THAT is dyno maipulation - I dont care who's car it was

When I report 667 whp on MY car - then you see me go 9 seconds on the track - results speak for themselves

Well, you saw what I did with the mods you listed and a basic mail-in flash: 12.26 on pump gas and 12.000 on race gas.

Go to the ****ing track, dyno # doesn't mean ****. Just a good way to get a tune.

Al runs 9's, built and tuned by himself.
