The power is there on pump gas also
Here is 91 octane IX - injen intake and 3" exhuast - 20 psi tapering to 17 at red line

Im adding ALKY and fixing my boost controller.
I had an 03 evo 8 and do not regret getting the IX.

This looks great ...... I can see my evovIII depreciate right before my very eyes !!!
I like the looks of the X,,,,, see what kinda power they are putting down, they say 300+ stock.
Now when the X comes out and they offer 0% with a 100k warrenty, I might just take a close look at it, and sell my paid off baby.
Great numbers on the 9........ stock 270whp,,,, Im lucky if I put that down with all the mods I have on my car now........grrrrrrrrr and all the money I have thrown at it.
tbe,hks rs,walbro,mbc, dynoflashed...ect ect ect..........

You have to be careful when comparing numbers from different dyno's. Some dyno's produce HP numbers 20% higher than others.

I recall making 320whp (uncorrected and on pump gas) on Stg 1 EVO VIIIs on that same dyno a few years back. That was a pretty big number but I think the winter conditions had a bit to do with it. Corrected, the dyno results were substantially lower. Advertising uncorrected numbers in the winter and corrected numbers in the summer will cause a lot of confusions since the same car, on the same dyno, will vary in output by over 10%.

I cant help but think the 22 degree wicked cold weather is helping out too. None of these EVO IXs have been dynoed in the hot humid summer weather.
I can honestly say last night driving my car home from school in northern NJ my car felt EXTREMELY more powerful, I almost couldnt stop flooring it all over the place because it felt like I had another 20HP!!!!
Im going to Pruven around 19th thru the 24th we'll see how I do in the cold weather...

Also, AMS has put a few cars into the 10s. Has Shiv ever even come close to making that kind of power?
AMS doesn't charge $1000 for tooning session that gets you 5whp either. Who you gonna trust?
Also WTF does Shiv's dyno have to do with this thread? Give it up, the EVO makes more power plain and simple. 180hp on a moon dyno doesn't mean **** when the EVO is running mid 13s. You don't run mid 13s on 180whp. I'll stick with the Earth dyno numbers and leave the moon dynos to Australians and WRX guys.

Al...I really like the torque numbers that the IX seems to be consistently putting down. On the Evo VIII wheel torque and wheel horsepower seem to always be right around the same figure until you replace the factory 16g. With the IX it seems like the TQ figures are always slightly higher than the HP figures. I imagine that's another factor in why the IX also FEELS noticeably quicker than the VIII.
I apologize if this has already been discussed, but are the IX's higher torque figures more a result of the new snail, the variable intake cam, or a combo of both? Until now I always thought engine stroke was the overriding factor when it comes to turbocharged cars putting down more TQ than HP, but I believe that's always been the same on the 4G63.
