Al, do you think an EVO 8 w/comparable mods and the IX turbo would put down similar #'s?
Please say yes....

I'm surprised by this because I thought the changes for the IX would bump performance not BUMP PERFORMANCE. Man, I was going to wait for the X but I must at least test drive this car. How does one find out about ancillary changes for the IX? Sure, Mitsu will tell you about MIVEC, but they're not going to mention a higher flowing fuel pump.

I have to way the BS flag on that one. that high amount of boosting with stock injectors and no fuel cut. i wonder what the duty cycle is. also dyno numbers are subjective. I will believe it when i see a 9 beat me on the street.

I got an 03 with hks rs intake, 3" downpipe, test pipe, and cat-back, walbaro f/p, boost set @ 22lbs and flashed, and I pull on a IX MR with 3" o2 housing downpipe, text pipe, and cat-back pretty strong. I know that should change once that car is flashed.

I am not yet ready for mail in tunes yet

The IX is significantly different than the Evo 8 which is going to render my vast library of custom tunes for the 8 evo nearly moot

I will be offering mail in tunes when I have reached a sufficient comfort level with the IX cars data base and have verified that my estimations with base flashes are accurate

I am getting very close already as this car was dialed in on the dyno with two quick adjustments from my base map

As for Florida - I will be there the first weekend in January and doing full custom tuning then - I will be posting a thread about that seperately in the Dyno flash forum in a day or two

I don't see how that's possible unless the car's mivec was tuned very agressively, and even then...375WHP without a turboback? Sorry...that dyno is O F F

THe numbers may be in the same ballpark, but lowdown torque should be higher on the IX due to the MIVEC. I also know the head on the IX is different than the 8 (not sure how much, though).
