The college would not let me take it late and get credit. Tough luck - that's how the military operates, and we in the military know that, so we also know not to make commitments that we might not be able to keep.

The deposit is always non-refundable. Everyone knows this, and that is why you don't place one until you know for sure. Things come up for everyone, military or not, but that's the risk you take. Al may give you the deposit back - it has nothing to do with me - but I can only guarantee a refund if the slots completely fill up to include taking over the slot he originally reserved.
Well get with Al and tell him the situation and if he has a problem then PM me his number and we can have a little talk and see what we can come up with.

Warr,

what all do we need to be 100% prepared and make this easy as we can on Al? i read about compression test, checking for boost leaks PRIOR to having a reflash and what else?

i'll also be fully detailed (read something about Al giving a guy a hard time for not keeping his car clean *lol*) all new fluids, new plugs and filters. anything else you can think of?

The main thing is the pressure test (not compression test, although that's always nice). Back in DC, when we did our last Dyno Day, one of my buddies brought his compressor, and we did pressure tests for whoever wanted one. I plan on getting my own compressor that I will keep in the garage here, plus I will make another good IC tester, so I can help people make sure their systems are tight, but I don't know if I'll have all that by the tuning day.

Just try to get rid of all your leaks and be on time.

Sweet! It is not looking so good for me. Most of my important parts won't be in stock until the end of this month. I am trying to get things rushed from the manufacturers so we'll see. Either way i'll be there. I just might not be able to do what i wanted.

Here is a question for perhaps Al. I already have a flash on my car but it was done when I bought it, I'm not really sure who flashed it, would that mean I need to pay the full price or the already flashed price? I just moved to CO from IL and need to get retuned for 91oct and the altitude. Car is an 04 GSR

If the car is Dynoflashed, you can probably get the repeat customer discount, but if not, then you'd have to pay full price. Regardless, you will need to sign up for a custom road tune to ensure your car is setup properly for altitude - I'm doing the same thing. The VIII road tune is $375 for a new customer and $299 for an existing customer, so it won't be a big difference either way. If you plan on getting tuned, then you should go ahead and send the $100 deposit to Al and pick one of the two remaining timeslots. You can figure out the total price with Al later and just pay the difference on the spot.

Actually here is a better question. How much would it cost to get my car reflashed back to stock and just have the rev limiter raised to 7800 and the top speed limiter removed?
