I was re-EcuTek tuned at Buschur by Al on Feb 4th. I was told before the event by Jarrod, via PM, that a retune on my EcuTek would be $325. I paid a $75 deposit and then Al charged me $300. In short... I was quoted $325, but was charged $375. I later PM Jarrod and Al about it.

Jarrod's PM response was:
I have no idea. Al would have to issue that refund if he is the one who completed the transaction. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Al's response was:
Here was the original post - all retunes were $375 that way which included the dyno time

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=181852&page=1
To Al's defense, $375 was the price that was listed in the thread. However, if you read this thread(https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=173054), Jarrod shoots out a few PMs about retune pricing. I'm not sure who's at fault here, but I feel like I got the shaft.

Note:
1. I did try to resolve this issue via PM with no success.
2. I just want everyone to see what may happen here ahead of time.

Post-Note: this issue has since been resolved. See my post: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...4&postcount=17

I forget exactly what I posted but I felt I was overcharged as well.. No big deal as it's definately worth the full price. Jarod took care of the extra 50 which was a great help.. even though I'll end up giving it right back on the next set of parts I get

I'm down. I want the 17th slot 2. I'll call you tomorrow for the deposit if that's cool. (Matt Thewes=Nosjunke)

I'm coming from Arkansas I have a few small things to work out, before I'm 100% committed.

Big thanks to the guys for fitting in my cam install. Too bad i have to leave by 5am to make the appointment. Anyone have a suggestion for a hotel in Norwalk? Every time i've been to BR for the shootout I cheap out and camp. Overall, i'm just happy to be missing a few days of work during tax season.

Does BR have a policy against having a dog hanging out as long as it doesnt crap all over the place? He is just a lazy basset hound.

I'll be the first one up on Friday. Can't wait!

I personally have no idea what went on with the charges that day. I was in Milwaukee friday night and saturday morning and didnt get to the shop till about 4pm that saturday. We always charge the same $325 for a custom Buschur flash retune but the Ecutek is $50 more which would make it $375.

If I told you ( Robbie ) that it was $325 for a Ecutek re-tune that is my fault. They were supposed to be $375. I was not aware of you being charged more than what I told you until the PM you sent me. I did not hear anything back about the matter so I assumed that Al took care of you. If he has not taken care of you give me a call or shoot me a PM with your C.C. info and I will refund the $50 today.

Any of the hotel around Norwalk are decent. I would recommend the Econolodge ( rather inexpensive ) or the Best Western. I will PM you the phone #'s if you like so you can make a reservation. Your dog should be fine.

I apreciate the honesty. It is true that you were out of town before and during the tuning date. I think its cool that you admit fault.

However, I think you changed the original post in this thread. It did say $325 for existeing EcuTek customers... I checked it twice. I wouldn't have posted otherwise. Anyone wanna back me up on that?

Why was justchil overcharged? His was not a EcuTek flash.

I'm not trying to cause a mess or call anyone out. I think there were some miscommunications. The miscommunications cost me 50 bucks, but it was more than likely an honest mistake. Other than the price difference, the tuning day went as well as the weather would allow. The car runs great now.

I edited the post because I did catch the mistake after you posted as well as I had to add a name to the list. That was a typo actually. ( thanks for catching my mistake) I know when doing the Ecutek flash it is half price if you have already paid for the license that is needed to do the flash which is in the first time price. The initial price of a EcuTek is $750 and there after is $375.

As far as Justchil being overcharged... that evidentally is my fault as well and I spoke with him over PM's as I was unaware of that until now also. He is taken care of. That particular time the price was $375 for ALL flashes.

Its honestly my fault there was an overcharge and I do admit it. It will not happen again. I am the first to admit my fault and in this case it appears as it was and I am willing to make it right.

I would suggest against using people's real names in the original post. Ya never know who is watching

I had a very bad experience at that Amerihost.. wont go into details but I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Ashland (if you're going that way) I stayed there after my last tune and it was VERY nice.

Free bump!
