Very worry about the dealer

Anyway, straight to the point, thank you soo much for sharing your experience. My point is that the dealer perhaps has changed more clutchs than anyone else around, at least in Tucson, I don't know about the East coast shop.
Unfortunately I am not close to big shops like Buschur, AMS, Turbotrix etc , etc therefore I have no choice but to get it done on shops that have experience(the dealer).
No matter how you look at it there is a loose to lose situation because even I decide to go with the stock clutch, the dealer says that I MUST replace the flywheel, they wouldn't resurface the stock flywheel.. Yeah, I know what you guys are thinking.
Your experience sounds very frustrating. Not all the technicians at the Mitsubishi dealers are knowleadable and maybe the technician that worked on your car was an incompetent. I guess that I have to risk this time.
Thanks though

That can only happen on 03 and 04 evos
When it happens you just send me the ecu and I re-intall the original tune
i don't really understand why you're trippin about the dealer clearing your code when you DON'T have a cat... i got a obdII reader so i can clear them myself... i think not having a cat is possibly more expensive than anything you could do by voiding your warranty. Now do you have alky on the warranty car too?? u obviously have enough cash to get a reader to clear your own codes... should be the LEAST of your concerns -rob

There is a misunderstanding here that I want to clarify again. I know how to clear a code, all that it takes is a 10 mm wrench and disconnect the negative terminal or like you say having a friend with a OBD reader.
As I mentioned before, the guy driving my car into the dealer saw the CEL and he says that it must be cleared, despite I told him not to worry they insist Mistubishi policy that they must clear te code.
Look, this is very easy, I am not asking to do anything other than replacing my clutch, I don't want nothing to do with CEL light of clearing codes, I just told them to replace my clutch.

Just interesting you cant find an experienced installer. But hey, lets get to the more important stuff. You know they didnt know how to bleed the brakes on Abners car. They didnt know there was an inner bleeder and when they ran the res. empty, they couldnt bleed the anti-lock. Oh and dont forget to check your side skirts. Abners were crushed to the door cause they didnt extend the pads. Or what about last week with Scotts car, 6 hours to pull up a bad crank positioner code??? And before with Scotts car and the bolt in the turbo. Didnt Edwin have a problem with them and a tranny??? Steven was missing 2 tranny bolts. One up top, One was cross threaded and the hidden trany bolt was not even put in when i did his. The previous one was done by them. Do you think they know how to bleed the ACD?? I really hope so. And they "SAY" no warranty issues to have it done there. They are right!!! You will have the issues when you take it back with transfer problems.....Their electronic system will show a clutch install, and when there is no parts on the ticket.... BINGO!! Honnestly, i dont care if you used me or not, but just dont be upset at these trivial things. Save it for the things to come...... ray
Sorry that I haven't call you yet. I haven't tell the dewler to go ahead and do it at all, I went there because they are giving me a special rate that they haven't offer to anyone(20% off).
I don't doubt you can do it, I know you have done a few but I belive you have done the Evos without ACD. There was a question at the time about having to bleed the ACD lines that you weren't sure about it.
Also my car being the 6 speed I don't think you have done the 6 speed yet.
I truly think you are very capable of doing the job and that is why I haven't rule you out.
My big concerns is to match your unique schedule and also to be able to spend the time to do be there with you as you requested it would be a special price only if I help. That means I have to be there basicly 2 full days assiting.
I will be calling you today and clarify ant misunderstanding.
Thanks Ray.
I dont think it would take 2 full days, and yes, i do need a hand. Mostly with restabbing the tranny. Steven at IA was giving me Taylor to help so he could learn the ACD type for their shop. I have spoken to a few members that have told me that its not even necessary to disconnect the ACD line. So bleeding wasnt an issue. Just have to take extra time in removing a bolt. From a 5spd to 6spd i dont think there are too many issues except for the oil. You need to get a gallon of Mitsu 6spd oil, unless you use somthing else. I have the Diaqueen. Also i recommend replacing the o-rings...its just good practice. Look, i dont care who you use, but for god sakes, get your car out of that rat hole............
Thanks to everyone for helping a fellow Evo owner(me). Specially thanks to Ray(rraulston).
Ray, we spoke over the phone and we should have my car ready this weekend(Sunday and Monday).
My car was removed from the dealership this morning at 0730am by myself. This was a learning experience not just for me but for everyone.
If you are taking your car to the dealer make sure you disconnect the negative terminal one block away before you drop your car to the dealer, that would prevent you from a lot alot a lot of stupid situations.
I was so feed up this morning that I just went and removed the car from the dealer without hesitation.

Very good choice Carlos. That dealer has horrible mechanics. We will get you in and out on Sunday. Be here at 8am. Make sure and get the tranny oil of your choice and the O-ring if you want. Also check and see if your clutch came with a throwout bearing. ACT's do, but i dont think Exidy does. Stephen has them in stock. Ray
