To give you guys an idea of how motivated i remain, after battling 3 hours of bumper to bumper traffic on the George Washintgon Bridge and Cross Bronx I came home and immediately began wrenching on my car to get it up on jack stand and remove the read half shafts

hopefully if everything goes well I can get out there this week

Called Frank from the Driveshaft shop this am

Super great guy and a sponsor of my whip

Seems that AMS was busting off the same inner spline part last year and that the half hafts for the Evo have been totally re-designed !!!!!!!!!! They now have a upgraded inner spline part

Anyone who orders a new set Stage V will automatically get the newer style upgraded inner spline

Here is some data from the driveshaftshop.com web site

We here at The Driveshaft Shop have made a clear commitment to helping the drag racing industry grow and will continue to find new and improved ways to help people like you succeed where others have failed. We have moved our facility from Islandia NY to Salisbury NC (Charlotte area) to further our commitment to helping the Sport Compact market get a higher level of drive train products developed and distributed all over the world. We are currently working on several projects for many DSM platforms including a stronger output shaft gear (to add to the shaft that has helped John Shepherd get in the 7's) we have redesigned Martin from AMS's rear level 5 axles to include a 300M spline on the differential output. We are currently collection information on all EVO 111 thru EVO V1 platforms so we can make our systems for these cars. Now that the move is done we will be developing a 2 piece Aluminum Drive Shaft for the EVO V11. With our motto "We Specialize in the Impossible" we can make what you need to have a successful race program.
EVO V111 Level 5 950hp rear axles
This is our re-designed level 5 system for the EVO V111 platform. This system has been tested by the best and is in some of the fastest cars in the world. What have done is started out by making the outer c.v. allot larger but were able to keep the ABS ring for you guys that are still on the street. We also supply an outer hub for the car to accomidate the larger spline with long ARP studs. What's real nice on this car is the fact that the hub/bearing assembly bolts on, no pressing the bearings just bolt and go. Then we made the center bar larger increasing the spline count from 30 to 32 and made it from the killer axle material 300M. On our first try we made the inner c.v. from 4340 but had 2 failures (AMS) so we went back to the design stage and decided to make the inner like our pro-level front wheel drive systems, with a 300M spline plug. this system will not break and it carries a 1 year warranty to prove it. So when your serious about your EVO remember you need serious parts like this from a serious company like us.
Retail Price: $1899.99
Our Price: $1,799.99

If you think $1800 for an upgraded half shaft is expensive you need to price the stock replkacements which I broke 6 of before I got my drivesahft shop axels
