Al, you should put up some sort of public calendar of when you will be at a race event or a tuning weekend. That way you could avoid a lot of these "where are you" threads that get started.

With a central page that people could check then they could at least see that if they sent you a map a day before a weekend or a major event that they'd be waiting a bit. It's unrealistic to think newbs or most people will go sifting through the whole Dynoflash thread to see the semi-schedules.

Maybe if you wanted to have a dialouge about compressor surge and bov calibtartion you should have titled the thread with a title directed more to your technical issue?????

It sounds like your "issue" is normal compressor surge and sounds you hear with a open element air filter - I would have tio hear more about the condition to make sure and know your full list of mods.

As for answering your PM 's since last Friday I have been racing at the Shootout - drioving from Ohio to CT and the to NJ and then flying to AK where I am now

Tomorrow I go to TX and then VA

Its been a busy week for sure

Please keep a grip of yourself

HAHAHAHAHA - whatever "Bro"

That's standard part-throttle flutter. You're not supposed to part-throttle boost.

If I understand, what you're saying is that I'm right in the middle of giving it enough gas to push it into boost, and not giving it enough? So I should either give more/go faster, or give less/go slower? Is this something that happens with the stock airbox and I just don't hear it, or is it a symptom of having the cone filter? Will it go away if I put the stock box back in?

Is it hurting the vehicle when this happens? That's really what I'm worried about.

Thanks for the help everyone!

I have a stock box with a drop in filter and if I do what you just mentioned, I'll hear it as well. Its normal from what I've read on these forums.

This is all normal and has nothing to do with the tune. People always immediately point to their tune/tuner when they find a problem (or think there's a problem).

Btw, whoever asked for a schedule of Al's weekends should peruse the sticky I made a long time ago at the top of the forum. It not only shows his schedule, but it provides hyperlinks to each of the tuning trips...

I really do appreciate you answering the question in the first sentence, but then you infer I am out of line for asking in your second sentence.

I did not point to the tuner - I ASKED the tuner. I mean I don't think it's out of line to ask a question to someone that I paid money to and trusted my car to, especially if it's something that wasn't noticed until after the tune. If it's something normal and I didn't hear it w/ the stock box, then great, that's all someone had to say.

I thought driveability was supposed to be better after the tune. What happened?
