Drivability is better with the tune, but this has nothing to do with part throttle boosting. It's not a matter of "running like shlt." It's a matter of having a tight boost system with a strong BOV that doesn't like partial boost at part-throttle.

Yes, which is a very strong BOV, so it will audibly flutter at part throttle/part boost when not accelerating at WOT when you have an intake. With the stock intake, you either don't hear it at all or only hear it a little. The stocker also isn't adjustable, so you have to live with the stiffness, unlike a Forge RS that can be as stiff as you want or looser to avoid this phenomenon (at the expense of boost holding capacity).

So, what was your point in mentioning the stock IX BOV?

ok
Going by an engineering standpoint, i highly doubt that mitsubishi is going to design a valve that has part throttle boost issues. I am sure that driveability that would hold stock boost was the number 1 concern with the new IX valve. Since with the VIII valve, driveability was the #1 concern over whether it could hold stock boost or not.

Now from what i have read, the IX valve is much like the JDM MR valve, Which isnt really a very stiff valve as you previously mentioned.

It was also nice of you to plug forge products there

Well then how do you explain me experiencing the same thing even with the stock box in place along with the stock IX valve? It has always done it, it just got more audible later on when I started modding in which I'm fine with it as I've learned how to deal with it.

Seems like your only here in this forum to stir up something based on all the posts I've seen from you on this forum.

He is absolutely correct here. Any strong BOV will flutter and cause minor surges depending on what exactly youre doing with the throttle. Also depends on how much boost youre running as well.

I can't see how the tune could be affecting it because the tune can't control the throttle, BOV, wastegate (if using an mbc), or turbo.

Just making sure on this one... but you did leave the honeycomb screen in front of the MAF in place right?
