Road Tuned than Dyno Proven

After getting bored from stock trim on my Evo IX (many evos later) I decided to get tuned... Met up with Al (DynoFlash) at "The Shop" in CT (bunch of great guys there)
due to it being late and being polite to the neighbors around the shop Al takes my car for a quick road tune... when he comes back my car gets strapped to the shop's DD dyno and this is the result

Mods are:
HKS RS Intake
HKS DLI
Maxford Header
Ebay o2 Housing
AMS FMIC
AMS LICP + UICP
QTP DP /w Electronic Cut-out
Whinebro 255lph
Perrin Test Pipe
also... for you westcoast guys its 93 octane that was used

Compared is the QTP DP w/ Electronic Cut-out opened vs closed
The test pipe was there previously before the QTP DP and I just left it there

Stock boost solenoid w/ pill removed and Road Tuned by Al (DynoFlash)
w/ cut-out closed it is at 20psi and opened it is at 23psi tapers to 17-18psi.. So I don't really need a bc

also worth mentioning is when compared closed vs open spoolup has around ~3-400rpm difference

Thanks to Al (DynoFlash) for the great road tune, Jim and the rest of the guys at "The Shop" for the quality service and Barry and the rest of quicktimeperformance.com for the great dp and cutout

Thanks for posting that !

I have said many times - you can take a car tuned to perfection on the road and put it on any dyno and it will run really good - its always been the case

My butt dyno was off a bit as it felt like 325 whp to me - it was a fast car considering it was runnintg the stock ecu boost control

Thanks again

Al

Perhaps boost control has to do with this....similar mods on this car here:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=245912

His low end torque destroys your car. We're talking around 140 ft-lbs at 2950 rpm...thats HUGE. Your torque values look closer to an 8 than some of the 9's I've seen.

Any thoughts?

Without a doubt running the factory boost control was a handicap on Gerrard's car

Adding a MBC would have allowed us to get a faster spool up and more tq down low ith a bit higher boost
