Case Study - 2 Evo IX Stage I cars - one with test pipe one with high flow cat
Please dont try and draw any conclusions from this very small sample - cars vary from car to car and gas varies greatly in volitility and octane
I am just posting these for food for thought and also informational purposes
These cars both had what I call a Stage I (using Buschur terminology) Intakes - Exhuast and MBC's with a Walbro fuel pump and Dyno Flash
The first one has a high flow cat and the Buschur Intake

The second one was a very strong running one with a test pipe and a HKS RS Intake

the second car is my IX tuned by Al yesterday and ill be writing a full review shortly, but all i can say right now....
WOW! Al is the man and the car runs perfect and very strong for stage 1.
the 340whp and 328wtq was made at only 21psi on pump
off to write my review...

actually, i just looked real close...
the TQ spikes higher on the HFC, BUT! if you look at it closely, the second car (mine) actually has a smoother TQ curve and seems to make more TQ over a slightly longer period...
so, that is kind of interesting...look at the TQ curve from 3500-5500 on both
