This car was a Stage III Evo IX dumping 02 housing stock turbo - cosworth cams and 50/50 % water and meth on the lovely Aqumist HFS-5 system at 25 psi of boost

Car was running very well - zero knock

Today we are going to remap the car with 100% meth to see the gains / losses as compared to the water / meth 50/50% mix

I still don't get why you don't spike that turbo to 30PSI for an equal shot of Torque.

What is the difference in power between 50/50 and 100 meth. Also did you have to change the timing alot of a little between the two mixtures.

I found that my car ran richer with 50% water and it needed more timing. I felt power went down even with more timing. I prefer not mixing and simply running 100% of meth or alchy.

Nice A/F is an understatement. Good work Al. That flat A/F curve is impossible to get with a progressive alky kit. pay attention.

Very eager to see 50.50 mix vs 100 meth. Also for fun, crank the boost to 30psi and see what the numbers fly to with the Aqua kit.

I hop this thread stays clear of flames like the other recent METH threads. I wish there was a way to make a thread and block whomever you didn't want posting in that thread. It would add a whole new element to posting in general and force peopel to be nice or baned from posting in certain threads.

The AFR looks much less rich than the others in the past

It is very possible, might be an inferior method to tune around the meth pump taking weeks to accomplish but it is possible with a progressive controller and ecuflash.

When using a mix of water and alcohol I find it is possible to me more lean and mean in the a/f target than on 100% meth as the water absorbs a huge amount of in cylinder heat

We did not finsih the car today on 100% meth and higher boost as there is something loose on the exhuast or chassis which is making noise - tomorrow is another day !

once again one of the best tuners making great safe numbers and 25 psi of boost is nice because one bad tank of gas or something stupid can lead to a big BOOM, its nice to have a good margin of errror. nobody will touch my car except the man AL himself!!

You are very perceptive indeed. The aspect of this kit that most impresses me is the totally linear and smooth delivery of alcohol.
