Here is the instructions on how to get me your ecu for the reflash

# 1 - put your car in a safe location where you can leave it for two days

2 - Remove neg batt terminal - 10 mm

3 - Open glove box

4 - There is a platic tab on the back left hand side you push into the glove box

5 - Slighly bend the right wall of the glove box inward as you swing it outwards and the right hand plastic tab will clear the dash

6- The glove box door swings down and the hinges lift off the dash

7 - Remove the platic trim piece under the ecu covering the wiring - it just pulls off towards you

8 - Take off 3 10mm bolts holding ecu - lower ecu

9 - Pull out plugs from ecu - DO NOT pull on wires - pull carefully by the plugs

10 - Wrap ecu in plastic and cushion in box - insure for $800

11 - Ship to Dyno Flash

Instalation is reverese of removal - make sure you dont connect the battery until after the ecu is back in place and that AL plugs are all the way in

Enclose a list of all of your car mods with the ecu along with the kind and octane of fuel used

kewl, I just bought an '03 VIII and it has a dynoflash on it already BUT, dont know what the previous owner has done to it (dynoflash wise). SO, im not really sure of what to do. could you give me some advice on what I could possible do? Thanks....yeah...im a newbie here....so these things i ask might be asked somewhere else...aaaha sorry for that.

Hopefully, you saw the thread down below that said to send ECUs to Buschur Racing in Ohio, because he's there all week. If not, then any ECU that shows up is being overnighted from CT to OH, but that will add an extra day.

 

Well, I did not see that. I just saw the post where you said to watch out coming later this week and to make sure that you send the ECUs out Tuesday at the latest or something of that sort... Sorry if I missed the details. I had sent Al several PMs and left him a voice mail and sent another email and he did not mention sending it to BR in the messages he responded to. He must be busy and forgot to mention that to me directly.

No biggie, the extra day is ok with me if that is what I have to deal with.

If i were to add these mods: Typhoon Intake, Forge RS DV, Tanabe blue G concept. Would a dynoflash to match these mods be the correct way to go to make the car run correctly w/ the mods on the car? any advice would be awesome.

 

The only advice I can give you (as stated in MANY other threads) is to NOT buy the Typhoon Intake. I would stick to the stock box with a drop in filter or maybe the BR filter with the stock pipe.

 

Any combo would run best with a Dynoflash. The ones you listed aren't anything different from the norm, however, please do not buy that Typhoon, and if you already have one, then sell it.

No need to get that strange Tanabe exhaust either unless it was extremely cheap. In fact, instead of buying random mods separately, just get the package in my sig, because it will include all the mods you need, two of which you are leaving out (fuel pump and MBC) and one you don't need (intake).

thanks for all the advice guys, it has really helped me see what needs to be done to my Evo. not just putting on parts. I think that I will be going w/ the Evo VIII package that you offer. will take me a little bit to come up w/ the $$$$ but i will be getting it.
