Al...

Im finally interested

Couple questions though...

1) will our custom maps be saved somewhere so that in the event they were to get erased, or we have them flashed back to stock, the custom tuned map could be reloaded?

2) what gains can you typically get out of a 3" full turbo back with hi flo cat, k&N drop in, 264/272, and gears retarded 2 degrees?

Hey Al,

I have bad news. I won't be able to make it to the custom tune. My transfer case just went bad on Sunday and I won't be able to take it the dealer 'til Friday to have it looked at. Please remove me from the roster. I have the first appointment on Sunday morning.

Sorry about the late notice. Please refund my deposit when you get a chance.

1- all maps are backed up and saved

2 - should be about 310 - on 91 octane and 325 - 330 on 93 on a awd dyno jet with very conservative a/f and timing targets and zero knock activity - I can give you a more acurate estimate after I drive your car

On 93 octane we get about 290 - 315 whp without cams on average with 300 - 315 ft lbs

With the cams and those mods only we usually see about 325 ft lbs and 320 - 330 whp

You must slightly discount those numbers on 91 octane

The cams are a good gain - but sometimes its not worth the xtra expense for cams and install - unless you can do your own install

Finally - the cams install can cause issues - the cam caps are very thin and can easily distort if not removed super careful - we have seen many cars which ran very loud after the cam install - a good mechanic doing the work makes a world of difference

just curious you use the rear o2 bung for the wideband o2 to tune?

does that give a acurate reading since the cat converter cleans it up?

not sure just curious

Yes- very accurate ! We compensate for the cat if its in there - MUCH more accurate than the rear tail pipe sniffer which most dyno shops use for sure

IF you want to weld in a pre-cat bung - or instal a test pipe during the tuning session - we can also do that to get the most accurate readings - hwoever it is not needed for sure
