The flash does help raise the boost by eliminating the stock boost taper function - but its not as flexable as a MBC ro EBC
We really suggest a Buschur or Hallman boost controller at the bare minimum - and a HKS EVC V as the preferred path - so that we can dial in the exact boost we want
Regardless of wherewe set the peak boost - with any form of boost control - it does fall down about 1 - 1.5 psi of boost as the revs rise to red line. This is due to the physical characteristics of the stock turbo. This is perfectly normal and works well with our dyno flash base calibrations.

Um, with my mail in before mbc, it would hit 1.4 bar and fall to about 1.25 @ redline. It makes much better power than stock.
But really, just go ahead and pay 150 for an mbc and have it installed for the custom tune. You're already shelling out 500 something.
A boost controller really does help with spool characteristics and obviously top end.

If we can make it 10 guys I will make it a Friday night through Sunday night event and also lower the price to $495.00 per guy
All guys with deposits in - please feel free to call me at 203-515-4110 to review your mods, planned upgrades and goals at this time in case you will be deiciding to make any upgrades before the tuning -e.g. fuel pump, boost controller, high flow cat - etc.

Yea, I am game. I am probably going to settle for just a quick flash instead of the full tune. I talked with Al and told him that I located a good place for him to work his magic. David, the owner of EVO8.com, offered up his shop as a meeting place for the Dynoflash weekend. He is located off of Loop 820W, exit 19. He stated that he would have plenty of EVO parts available for those that need last minute mods prior to their custom tune. Al seemed to like the idea of using David's shop. The shop is near some great roads that Al can use to test his tunes, close to the airport (approx 30 min away), and isolated from large populated areas/heavy traffic.
Peace,
Jack
