Chicago trip - possible for June 3 - 7 - we need 5 guys to get it going

Hey you all - I am interested in comming back to Chicago - possible at AMS again

I want to attend the NOPI race in Cordova, IL June 5 and 6

I can stop at AMS on the way - or on the way back

Or we can meet and do the tuning at the NOPI race

Custom full Dyno Flash is $550 with up to 2 1/2 hours of custom tuning to match your car and mods

Re-tune for existing Dyno Flash customers is $350

Base flash - custom selected to match your car and tested and installed in your car is $199 with before and after road test and scan of vital functions to assure proper operation

I will need to rent a Uhaul truck to take my car out that far and do some travel arrangements so I will need to know fairly soon if there is interest in this

I know its short notice - but I just had two PM's today about Chicago tuning so I wanted to float this idea out there to see if there is general interest

No need to place any deposits at this time - just post up here if you are interested and which service you prefer

If we get enough guys then I can start taking deposits and confoirming the details

Thanks

Ummm....Al....what in god's name did you do to your car to make you have to rent a truck to haul it? Is it not streetable over long hauls anymore? that truck is gonna cost WAY more in gas then your EVO bro!!!

To anyone considering Al's custom street tunes....all I can say is...I'm still smiling!!!

When you are racing trying to break records its possible to break a part at any time = especially with stock drivetrain so a trailer is a good idea

Last time I came to chi town I drove my car back and forth

Al, I assume that you are driving over from CT. If the timing is right I would be very interested in meeting up with you somewhere in Ohio (I am assuming you are taking I-80 across), I would drive down from Detroit for a road tune if possible. Let me know if you would be willing to make a pit stop along the way.

Very true bro! I just thought maybe you had done something new and it wasn't good for the street on long hauls or something.

Thanks again for the flash Al....as I said before....I'm still smiling!!!

I drove it not only from CT to TN and then to IL and back to CT when I went to Chi town last time

BUT - I just drove it 150 miles to ATCO and went 6 passes at 11.2 and the drove it home

I have not touched the car since I came back two weeks ago and now I will try to drive it 300 miles to the IDRC race in Maryland this weekend - more at 5

question

I missed you the last time you came out to Chi-town (AMS), but I want to ask you was mods you recommend to at least have for your base flash? I only have a 3" cat back, K & N drop in filter and SAFC and was sure if you were coming and this soon, so I was hoping I finish with all my mods by the time you do come back.
Honestly, will the flash help my car in any way or will it be better to just wait till I finish?

I would recomend a full 3" turbo back system and also a walboro fuel pump

As for when to do the flash - IMHO - I could not drive an Evo for one day knowing I was missing up to 30 ft lbs or trq and whp and also could have a much smoother and more linear power band

Your call

Also you could get a base flash now and update it for only 100 at a later date

i might be in. where the hell is cordova? im about 3 hours south of Chigaco . I have AMS stage 1 kit plus high flow cat and downpipe. what kind of power gains do you think i will see?? im looking at getting cams and fuel pump but no shop down here to do the stuff for me and im not gonna risk it on my own. Ok just checked my schedule and the 3rd or 4th wont work for me. But the 5th on is good!!!. So count me in most likely. Anyone in central Illinois wanna do cams and fuel pump for me??
