Dyno Flash on stock Evo motor - 444 whp

I just finished an amazing tune

Here is a customer with bascially a Buschur Stage 4 who installed the new AMS turbo kit

I find these results to be fantastic.

This tune was super conservative and safe.

With the stock fuel pressure regulator, 660 injectors and a totally stock bottom end and no head studs I did not advise going beyond this power level which was at approx 25 psi of boost on C-16

I am very proud that the Dyno Flash has come through to produce this kind of power and also doing it with a super smooth and well balanced power band

The driveability is as stock

We are very satisfied with the results and the AMS tirbo kit looks very promising

I would hate to see the kind of trq and whp that the AMS turbo would produce at 33 psi of boost

With AMS turbo kit I thought you had to buy everything from them Exhaust and all. Did he have to sell his Buschur set up to get the AMS.Does the AMS kit include also an intercooler as well. This is making a turbo kit some very tempting. Bushur or AMS oh I cant decide!!!!

Here is two runs before - the tach signal was cutting in and out during this dyno session so we could not get the trq numbres on all the runs - here is a run at only 24 psi and with a richer a/f - slightly less whp - but tale a look at how smooth the trq curve is and all the power to the left of the curve

A very pleasant car to drive indeed !

The rpm based pull is posted there also - the one you were looking at is speed based b/c the tach signal cut off

IF this guy's motor was built it would have been a very strong top end

This result just goes to show that you can get some decent numbers on the stock ecu and keeping your stock MAF sensor and 100% emissions passing ability with full OBDII function and zero cel codes

He has some slight modifications to get this system to work with the rest of his stuff

I also think this particular guy had modified his exhuast system fairly radically also to quiet it up to avoid tickets

We have already dyno tuned a Buschur 580 kit and I would predict that the Buschur 580 and the AMS kit will be very very close in ultimate power output

We are awaiting the testing of the Buschur 440 and 500 which will yield stock like spool up and significant improvements over the stock turbo on pump gas

As you can see from the dyno sheets this particular turbo spools up about 1,000 rpms higher than stock - - BUT - it would prob pull flat boost to 9,500 rpms with ease

On stock like a/f and timing settings and 20 psi on pump gas this kind of turbo should make at least 75 whp more power than a stock turbo

Just by way of comparison

Here is my dyno sheet - adding a fully built motor - stand alone ecu - intake - bigger valves and head work and a upgraded ignition along with about 1,000 more tricks - and 30 psi of boost approx

My point is that its almost silly to take the next step up in power

This customer has basically about $7500 total investment and a stock like driveability and function

To spend who knows how much more to get the next 90 whp is not really rational - especially when there are such huge sacrifices that start to be made in driveability and function when you start going into a full race motor

IMHO - the reflash combined with a upgraded turbo and the basic mods like the Buschur Stage 4 which is very reasonably priced is a much more sensable path to follow and results in a much more enjoyable driving experience

We prolly kno who this person is with the hints Al posted. But I'll let the person reveal himself. He is a person who is low key on his mods.

i have two questions
1) did the buschur intercooler+pipes fit the AMS kit?
2) do you recommend getting a blowthrough MAF (good for 500+whp) like the one MalibuJack has on his car?(so the car can pass obd-II scans)
