Apex'i Power Intake experience

Hello guys...

I just ordered the Apex'i intake kit (filter & adapter)... I'm through with wet filters and been throughly impressed with the Apex'i dry filter... in this one test (from some japanese mag) that was scanned on MKIV.com (if i remember correctly) it filtered the best outta the tested filters and even out flowed the Blitz SUS, so i've been going with them from here on out now and had good experiences with them on other cars... My question is did anyone get flashed with this intake yet??? and does anyone have any dyno's associated with it??? Al, do you have any personal experience with it??? I'll have it in and installed on Fri and plan on doing the TTM flash within two weeks of that then... I can't resist the results ppl are getting... Keep up the good work

thanks in advance,
Chris...

I had my car dynoflashed with the HKS RS, but I have replaced the filter with the power intake. Drives the same to me.

Test Link, click on the individual filter pics for each performance...

this was the old filter in the test even... kinda interesting numbers, but, the dirt filtering test is a lil' disturbing... maybe i'll post it in the performance section if no one else did before...

anyways... i just ordered up the filter kit... they have a pipe kit too i believe, it's around $400 if i remember correctly...

So what does the clean white filter mean? The Apexi tied for most power.

whiter = better

it means the filter trapped the most dirt and didn't allow as much through it... seems HKS's was the worst, with the Blitz SUS following it... before i used to think the metal mesh would be the worst filtering...

i thought that the HKS filter they tested there isn't the HKS RS and that the HKS RS filter is actually better? is that true?

Yes, the test is the green filter, not the yellow one that comes in the RS kit
