Nice Upgrade Al
Most tubular manifolds are made with stainless steel but its the weld quality and the wall thickness that causes the manifold to crack under weight and stress. The AMS manifold is made with a higher grade of 304 stainless and to top it off its thickwall piping. We stand behind this header with a 2 year guarante against cracking. If it came down to it and it was past the 2 year mark I am willing to bet martin would still take care of it. Our header is a work of art.
CONGRATS AL! My little boy is all grown up now!! LOL

Also - the welder at AMS is very highly skilled - I met him first hand when I was in Chicago and was very impressed
Also - the AMS kit has a very interesting turbo support bracket - and a very well designed flex section on the down pipe - all of which should make to very good long term reliability - it will be interesting to see how it fares in time
CAST manifolds such as the Buschur kit of course will give you total security against any cracks but possibly at the expense of some performance
Still I have seen many race cars with cast manifolds
In my opinion - even if the AMS manifold eventually does crak its no big deal to simply take it off and get it touched up - not a big issue

I think we can reach 700 whp
We had two big issues confront us tonight on the dyno after installing my new turbo and cams
1 - the tires were slipping like mad on the dyno - never had that problem before in awd mode - will have to figure out how to deal with it - (tire pressure was lowered to 13 psi !)
2 - I only have a 3.5 bar map sensor and I could not tune after 35 psi - I will be updating to a 5 bar sensor
We only did 4 or 5 passes of tuning here and each pass we made more power
The a/f was very conseravtive 11.6 and the timing had lots of room - zero detonation
I wanted to test it out on the street - BUT I am saving it for this weekend's NOPI race at Atco Raceway
I can honsetly say that I am starting to grow scared of driving this car
WHO would have ever thought I would have a 660 whp car - and did you see how nice and flat that dyno sheet looks ??? I love my Evo !

their is a place in naperville, IL that has a hub AWD dyno that could help with the spinning of the tires
