Indycar switched to E98, why not E100

Answer is simple, E100 would be subject to alcohol tax!

It's nice to see major racecar championship backing of ethanol. F1 should follow!

Just pour some beer down the chute. And I mean the fuel door chute, not the other one .

Dunno, a few beers in the drivers might make the racing more entertaining. :P Certainly on the ovals.

There is a guy on modularfords.com runs 8.94@155mph on stock block turbo cobra!! That made more power with E98 than he did on C23!! That's impressive too bad I live in the "dirty south" where there is 1 E85 station in the whole state.

Yeah, you can be fast with this stuff. I think current speed record holder is a twin turbo dodge viper running e85.

The reason why it's E98 is so cheap bastards don't drink the stuff. I'm serious! Ethanol is basicly moonshine. Can you imagine E100 at the pump? You would bring a couple of empty vodka bottles to fill up as your topping off the EVO. The 2% of gas makes it a deadly drink.

P.S. Does anybody on this board have access to E98 in the mid-west?

You couldn't drink E100 even if they sold it at a gas station, it'd be denatured anyway.

Does he use the same amount of E98 as he does C23?

I'm sure it wouldn't be 100% but do you really think someone would be retarded enough to try and drink it?
