your making assumptions about a dyno you have never been on. Maybe other DD's you've heard of are like that but that one isnt. He would dyno well over 350whp on a dynojet, in fact evos that have dynoed on that DD have also dynoed on a local DJ and found the DJ reads about 20whp higher. But your in socal go to RRE with your wifeys IX and prove me wrong, I can tell you that most DD's Ive seen read very close to mustang dynos and its pretty much impossible to hit 350whp on a mustang dyno with stock turbo on 91. Maybe the DD your dynoing on reads a little higher than you think.

 

This is my last post concerning dyno's themselves. I have dyno'd many different cars on many different dynos. I can tell you that no dyno reads the same...meaning you could have two dynapacks at the same shop and you will get different readings on both. There are hundreds of threads on the Net talking about the differences between dynos and they all pretty much state the same thing--Mustang dynos and Dyno Dynamics Dynamometers read the lowest (hence why they are referred to as heartbreakers) and dynojets and dynapacks read the highest.

 

You do understand that the Dynapacks are a water break dyno right? Which means that they are the most accurate dyno around. Dynojets, Mustangs, etc.. are no where near as accurate. If you don't believe me then go to their site and question them. Don't assume about dynos without knowing how they opperate. Plus there is no tire slip on a dynapack.

 

Plus like you said earlier no two dynos no matter if the same will throw the same numbers. very true.

 

I know a fair amount about dynapacks. Yes, I know that they are very accurate and are one of the most preferred dynos to tune on. But none of this addresses the fact that they read the highest out of any other dyno, and people simply need to under that.

E85 is rated around 105 octane, but RRE's tuner thinks this gas behaves more like C16 since you can add a ton more timing compared to 105 unleaded race gas

 

That's great to know! Congrats again on some great gains!

 

Rather focusing on the peak HP numbers for this dyno vs. that dyno, i think its more important to focus on the gains from my E85 vs. 91 octane tune with very basic mods on the car. Not too shabby for gas that's cheaper than 87 octane. Poor man's racegas!

+66whp gain on E85 ; 20% gain
+94 lbs torque gain on E85; 32% gain

 

Awesome i heard Alan is doing a good job in San Deigo! You might want to consider using Scot for tuning since he's done a bunch of E85 tunes on AEM EMS already...

 

RRE charges $1000 to do tuning on AEM EMS'.

You state that you have the RRE E85 Stage 1 with 1,000cc injectors.
In the E85 Stages thread RRE lists their Stage 1 as having 750cc injectors.
Please clarify.

I didn't think you could use 750cc injectors with E85. I thought 1000cc injectors were the minimum size?

 

I think RRE just road tuned someone last week with Denso 720cc injectors and he was hitting around 90% injector duty cycle.
