you do realize e-85 degrades very quickly right?

RRE tells me they get about the same number out of it as they do with 110.
Problem for me is, the nearest station is an hour away. Conversely,Willow has 110 in pumps. Either I drive 2 hours and fill up a 55, or I just unload the car at the track and fill it up. I'm choosing to run leaded because it's so much easier. I'm willing to pay an extra 3 bucks a gallon because of it.

We got more HP on Top with the E-85 not to mention on back to back pulls it maintains almost the same HP due to the cooling effect.. That would make it ideal for a roadrace car even more so than a drag car..

Yeah..?
Makes sense.. It has alcohol in it, doesn't it? Leaded race fuel runs a bit cooler as well, although you're prolly saying that E85 runs cooler still. For me, it'd have to be liquid turbo to commit to driving 2-hours for fuel every time I go to the track.
I'll talk to Mike about it though. Appreciate the tip.

When you stop to think about it, it's not quite fair, since Warrtalon just drives across the Colorado-Nebraska state line and gets the purest, non-commercial grade E-85, fresh from the refinery!

I've made 43hp/40tq just switching to E85. That's after installing 1000cc injectors and doing a tune, same boost level. My tank wasn't completely drained and still had over a gallon when we poured in E85.

I wanna make the switch as well, but the nearest station is like 20 minutes away. We need more availability on the East Coast.

Even moreso about the 11.51!

And my main client is NREL (look it up)!

Doubt very seriously it'd translate into faster lap times over typical leaded race fuel, or be the difference between cooking a motor or not. If it did, I'd make the trip. Until then, put a station in OC (and while they're at it, I could use a biodiesel station selling it for a buck-fitty a gallon too), and I'll give it a go. I'm actually surprised with all the cars being made to run on it, they don't have more stations.
Pretty sure all the GM 5.3's are dual-fuel, and that's just their trucks.

Question E85 w/meth injection question

I am currently running 91 with 50 meth/50 H2O. In other week upgrading to and Evo Green, larger injectors, ECU alt map switching to use E85 or 91.

Does anyone have any experience with running meth 50/50 with E85... it would be easier for me just to continue to spray meth when running 91 or E85. But, is there any advantage to not running meth/h2o with E85? Seems to me not much if any advantage to spraying the meth, but the h2o would help to control knock with E85.

Thanks...
