Anyone switch to E-85

I have been doing some research on E85 and have seriously been considering switching over to it. So far I have the ability to get it and not worry about a shortage. My fear was how it will react with my setup. TurboTrix tuned my car and built/installed everything in it (2.3L,cams,trans,fuel system etc...) All with an FP Green. So, has anyone here tried it, heard of it, or had a issue with switching over to E85. Im assuming its a good idea since it is about 105 octane and 85% ethanol. but whats the downside for us?

Thanks

We have switched to it.. There are no downfalls i have seen besides availability.. You need more pump and more injector of course but the saving youll get over race gas would make that back in no time.. We made more HP on E-85 than Q16 also..

thanks for the quick replies. im glad to see that people have done it and with success. and the savings over race gas are perfect. i have a place in PA that is selling it for roughly 2.59/gallon and i am going to fill two 55 gallon drums this weekend. I have a 255 pump/1000cc injectors already and AEM EMS being installed so i think ill be ok fuel wise. but thanks again for your help.

With a green you might need a double pumper and FPR.. Just be careful.. Fuel volume is as important as pressure.. We went to a double pumper just for our evo IX turbo..

I wouldn't do it! It corrodes your fuel lines and your tires! It makes your clutch smell funny, and your injectors blow up!
