Does anyone have any experience with running meth 50/50 with E85... it would be easier for me just to continue to spray meth when running 91 or E85. But, is there any advantage to not running meth/h2o with E85? Seems to me not much if any advantage to spraying the meth, but the h2o would help to control knock with E85.

Thanks...

So what do I need to run E-85? Double pumper 1000 CC injectors and a tune? I plan on running Green turbo?

Thumbs up EVO IX w/FP Green E85 vs 91 + meth 50/50

http://i335.photobucket.com/albums/m...1methvsE85.jpg

Gained 51 max hp and 16 ft-lbs of torque on E85 vs 91+50% meth. Both tunes were done consecutively on the same dyno at Harman Motive in Torrance, CA. Huge thumbs up to Dan H and Scott B! The quality of their work and tuning is top notch. Quality of work and customer service is the best I've had in SoCal.

E85 - 376 hp & 357 ft-lbs tq
91+ 50% meth - 320 hp & 341 ft-lbs tq

For reference: was told that the new GTR did 405 hp on the same dyno

I was amazed how smooth the E85's hp and torque curves... The car is my DD and a blast for street driving.

My mods include:
FP Green ported turbo w/FP actuator
RC1000 injectors
FULL RACE exhaust manifold (tubular)
HKS 272 MIVEC cams
65mm Mil Spec TB (ported)
Sparco Intercooler
Springs & Retainers
Horsepower Freaks LICP
UICP
AEM meth kit
ECU load boost control
HKS DLI II
TiTek O2 housing
Walbro Fuel Pump
AMS small battery kit
K&N Intake
Full exhaust w/test pipe
HKS Ti Carbon muffler
Buddy Club grounding kit
DEFI gauges (EGT, Boost, Oil Pressure)
Labonte flow gauge (for meth)
AEM A/F gauge
JDP map sensor (for logging)
Stock ECU (flash w/ alternative map switching functionality)

Do it, E85 is the bomb. I have run 34psi on it accidentally (3500ft elevation drop) and got no knock. I ran 32psi at the track on E85 when I got the time in my signature (360 treadwear ftl). I run 30-31psi when I drive it on the street and never see any knock.

You will need a dual fuel pump setup of some kind and at least some 1000cc injectors though. I have to say, I have tried 2 walbro 392 inlines and now have the Bosche 044. Just save yourself the hassle and get the Bosche, unless you do a dual in tank setup.

How did you determine you need 2 fuel pumps? I'm on a single Walbro and 28 psi and have not noted any fuel starvation. Do you have data that shows why you need 2 pumps? Thanks

Well it depends on the turbo, size of your injectors, fuel lines, fuel rail, base fuel pressure and timing advance as well. I am on stock fuel lines and a stock fuel rail and have my fuel pressure bumped up to 50psi base on a GT35R turbo with a walbro in tank and a bosche 044 inline. I also have 1150cc injectors and I run out of injector around 33psi.

I remember when I was running a walbro 392 inline and it died and I was left with only the in tank and I was running way lean. I think I was still 45psi base back then and running around 30psi of boost. If you are on a smaller turbo I could certainly see 28psi with only an in tank, because it flows less. You could also be running quite a bit less timing than I do.
